However, our unique business model allows us to make paints that match and offer comparable coverage and durability as the PPG “DBC” or “Global” basecoat at prices often 1/3rd the price. PPG, Global, and all the mentioned trade names of the chart below are registered trademarks of Pittsburg Plate Glass, Inc. ****

What is ‘Reducer’, and which one should I buy?
Adding reducer to your paint will make it easier to apply to your vehicle. Generally, you should choose the “medium” option unless you know you’re going to be applying paint in very warm or cold environments.
What is ‘Activator’, and which one should I buy?
Activator helps paint cure in a reasonable time period, and you should select it based on the temperature of the application area. Generally, you should choose the “medium” option unless you know your vehicle paint will cure in a very warm or cold environment.
Which clear coat should I buy?
Most of our products are available with either our UC-410 MS 2K Polyurethane clear or our UC-210 HS Glamour Polyurethane clear. The main difference between the two clears is the thickness. Our UC-210 is a thicker clear that can be cut and polished extensively, while our UC-410 is a thinner clear that’s easier to apply. Customers who favor thinner clear coats or who are beginning painters should opt for the UC-410.
Which gloss sheen should I apply?
The sheen you choose really comes down to personal preference. In general, the flatter sheens show less dirt and contaminants (low gloss finishes are very hard to polish out nibs) while the glossier sheens like satin and semi will look blacker and are generally eaiser to maintain.
How much paint do I need?
The amount of paint depends on a lot of factors, but generally one of our 1 gallon kits will paint the outside and jambs on most vehicles. Large SUVs or large trucks where you are spraying inside the bed may need an additional quart kit (or two) but this is uncommon.
NOTE: If you can’t find a single quart size of the kit you’re looking at on our website, please contact us! We are adding quart-sized versions of many of our kits to our website, but it’s a time-consuming process.
How much is shipping, and how long will it take before I get my kit?
Shipping cost is based on order total. Orders over $400.00 will ship for free to the lower 48 states, while orders under $400 will ship for a flat fee (see table below).

Why are your products so much more affordable than big name brands?
Our unique sales and marketing strategy allows us to save substantial amounts of money by not hiring a national sales force to distribute our products. Furthermore, we do not have large marketing budgets based off exorbitant costs of race and show sponsorships.
How good is your product?
It’s excellent!
We conduct advanced testing on every coating to verify that it meets our standards for durability and wear. Our testing process utilizes expensive equipment that simulates several years of extreme weather. The weather is we simulate is very hard on paint: high heat and high humidity, wet freezing rain, and extended UV exposure. While our testing device can simulate 2 years of weather in just a few weeks, most paint companies don’t bother with this type of testing becasue of the effort and expense.
We’ve always believe the quality of our products will be the key to our success, and we’re proud to say we have thousands of 5-star reviews on both our website and our store on eBay.
Does this product meet local VOC requirements?
Local VOC (volatile organic compound) requirements can vary, so you should check local regulations before purchasing. We know there are some areas that require the use of a “low VOC” automotive paint, and we offer an extensive line of low VOC paints for customers in these areas. For more information, please contact us, and be sure to let us know your address (including zip code).
