OxyStik epoxy primers are formulated with epoxy polymers and amino functional co-reactants combined with anti-corrosive pigments to provide a crosslinked coating with tenacious adhesion and corrosion resistance over a wide variety of metals. Oxystik makes an excellent primer for bare metal finishing applications and can also be used as a sealer over fillers and existing finishes. Mixes 1:1 by volume. Available in quart and gallon kits. Grey in color.

Delaware
Delaware REQUIRES LOW VOC automotive coatings. However, Delaware has an exception in section 11.1.2.2 stating “where the use or application of that coating or cleaning solvent is by a person who does not receive compensation for such use or application”. In other words, our understanding from the rule is that if you are paying a painter to paint your vehicle then have to use LOW VOC coatings but if you are not paying someone to paint your vehicle then you can use the standard non-LOW VOC materials.

Maryland REQUIRES LOW VOC automotive coatings. However, Maryland has an exception in section 2 of rule 26.11.19.23 stating “An automotive coating applied to motor vehicles or mobile equipment or their associated parts and components by a person who does not receive compensation for the application of the coating.” In other words, our understanding from the rule is that if you are paying a painter to paint your vehicle then they have to use LOW VOC coatings but if you are not paying someone to paint your vehicle then you can use the standard non-LOW VOC materials.

I can’t say enough good about the epoxy primer. It sprays nice and lays down good. It’s not a primer surfacer so you need to have your body work done right before spraying this otherwise you’ll waste a lot of time trying to sand this. It doesn’t sand easily.
